Agents and AI
Do I pay for AI?
No. TakeOne has no AI of its own and sells no AI credits. Connect the agent you already use; it does the editing through the API or MCP, and its usage stays with its own provider. You pay only for your TakeOne plan.
Which agents can use TakeOne?
MCP clients that connect to the TakeOne server on MCPCloud, such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, and anything that can call a REST API with a token.
Does my agent see all my recordings?
It sees what its token or connection allows. Give each agent only the scopes it needs, and revoke access whenever you like.
What does publishing with no tab open mean?
When no TakeOne tab of yours is open, the export renders on our side, so an agent can publish on its own. Starter and Pro include minutes of it each month.
Recording and sharing
Where can I record?
In Chrome, Edge, Arc or Brave on a computer, with nothing to install; with the Chrome extension, which records the tab you are on with its clicks; or with TakeOne for Mac, on macOS 15 or later, which records a display, a window or an app with the system’s sound.
How long can a take be?
Up to 10 minutes on Free and 30 minutes on Starter and Pro. Free records 1080p at 30 fps, or at 60 fps up to 5 minutes; Starter and Pro record up to 1440p at 30 or 60 fps.
Who can watch a take?
Only you, or anyone with its link. On Starter and Pro a link can also have a password or an expiry. Viewers need no account and watch in any modern browser.
Plans and your data
Is there a free plan?
Yes: 5 GB, takes up to 10 minutes, and the API and MCP at 100 calls a day. No card needed.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and nothing you recorded is deleted.
Where do my recordings live?
In private storage, reachable only through short-lived links that TakeOne signs when someone watches. Download your originals any time; deleting a recording removes its files at once.
How do I sign in?
With Google or with Apple. TakeOne never sees your password, and if you ask Apple to hide your email, TakeOne only sees the address Apple forwards from.
How do I delete my account?
Open Account and settings and choose Delete account. Every recording and its files, your share links, tokens, webhooks and settings go, and any subscription is cancelled. It cannot be undone.
