What TakeOne does
TakeOne records a tab, a window or a screen and makes it look produced. Then the agent you already use trims, captions and publishes it, through a REST API or an MCP server.
Record
- Record a tab, a window or your whole screen in Chrome, Edge, Arc or Brave on a computer, with nothing to install.
- The Chrome extension records the tab you’re on, with its clicks, on any site and without adding a script. TakeOne for Mac records a display, a window or an app from the menu bar, with the system’s sound. Get the apps.
- Your microphone and the tab’s or the system’s sound, mixed into one track, with a level meter while you record.
- A floating window keeps the timer, your camera and Stop above whatever you’re recording. Pause and resume, and the paused stretch is left out.
- Crash-safe: a take is kept on your computer while it records and uploads, so a closed tab or a crash can be recovered, and large uploads resume.
- 1080p at 30 or 60 fps on every plan, and 1440p on Starter and Pro. A take’s link is ready the moment you stop.
Make it look produced
Every effect is a layer on the take, so nothing is baked in until you publish, and your agent can change any of them.
- Trim and cut, then publish the edited version or download it.
- Zoom that follows your clicks, by hand or from the clicks the extension, the Mac app or the beacon in your own app recorded.
- A smooth drawn cursor with ripples on each click.
- Your camera in a bubble, with its size, shape, corner and mirroring.
- Reframe to 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5 for a feed or a story.
- Idle stretches sped up, so waiting never makes the cut.
- Captions and chapters from a transcript.
- A GIF from the playhead, for a changelog or a pull request.
Share
- A share link that unfurls in Slack and iMessage with the title, a poster and a short preview clip.
- Keep a take to yourself, share it by link, or protect the link with a password or an expiry on Starter and Pro. Unlisted links are kept out of search engines.
- Viewers watch in any modern browser with seeking, speed, captions and full screen, and a link can open at a moment in the take.
- Each take counts its views as a number; nobody’s viewing is tracked.
Hand it to your agent
TakeOne has no AI of its own and sells no AI credits. Connect the agent you already use, and it works on your takes as you, within the scopes you approve. How an agent edits a take.
- An MCP server for Claude, Codex, Cursor and any other MCP client.
- A REST API at
api.takeone.dev/v1with tokens you scope and revoke. - Webhooks when a take is ready, published or failed.
- Ready-made skills: describe a take, draft its script, place zooms from clicks, tighten silences, transcribe and publish.
- On Starter and Pro an agent can publish with no TakeOne tab open: the render runs on our side.
Keep it organised
- A library with search, folders, sorting and filters, a grid or a list, and a selection bar to move or delete several takes at once.
- On Starter and Pro, a public page of your own with the takes you choose to show.
- Download your originals any time.
Plans and limits are on the front page; what changed lately is in the changelog.
